Harley Davidson Sportster Conversion
I'm not sure we could explained this conversion to a customer but I had a pretty clear vision of what we were looking for and since the bike was mine, we didn't have to. It turned out to be the most fun and usable bikes I have. Well, all the fun games have come to an end, for now anyway. Looks like all the screwing around found the weak link in a rubber-mount Sportster, the rear motor mount. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

2011 Easy Rider V Twin Expo
We had a small booth at the show this weekend so I didn't have much time to screw around. but, after the show closed on Saturday, I walked around and shot a few pictures. I haven't been to this show since 2005 and I was really surprised on how much has changed since then. Had a good time though and met a lot of cool people.

Wayne's World
Getting a little closer with Wayne's bike. Still have to do the exhaust system and a few finishing touches. It's actually starting to look like something now though.

Joyrides Art Company
Many thanks to Mark over at Joyrides, again. We needed a parts catalog of sorts for the EasyRider V Twin Expo. As usual, we put Mark under the gun and asked him if he could get it done in about a week. And, as usual, he put the hammer down and got the job done. Shot the bikes, shot the parts, did the layout, handled the printing and got it bound. I was absolutely blown away when I saw it, Mark. Thank you a thousand times.
Here are a few of the pages and the cover. If you're going to the V Twin Expo this weekend, stop by our booth and pick one up.

Where Is Joe Tows 93' S&S Shovel?
We did this bike a few years ago for Joe. As you can see, it has a set of Biltwell Keystone bars on it. These were the old Keystones that were recalled. Joe sold the bike before we had a chance to swap the bars to the new Biltwell Keystones. Anyway, if you are or know the new owner of this bike, give us a call. We'll set you up with a new set of bars.

The Panhead Lives
My Panhead is finely coming out of mothballs. If you've been to the shop in the past year or so, you've seen my bike sitting with no oil tank or primary. It came apart last Christmas to fix a crack in the oil tank, the polisher polished through the weld, and install a main shaft bearing support to the trans. But, like the plumber with leaky faucet, you know the story. Anyway, it's back together now. Battery was too dead to hold a charge though. Normally, that's not a big problem but, the battery is under the trans on this bike, a real pain to get in and out of the bike.

Supercross - Anaheim 1986 The Greatest Race Ever
Went to Supercross the other night at the Chavez Ravine, one of best best races I've seen in a while too. In fact, while we were grinding down our JackInTheBox on the way home, Al said, that had to be the best Supercross race of all time. Yep, I said, that was great, however, I think there was a race that is actually considered "The Best Supercross Race Of All Time". Here it is, Al, 1986 Anaheim 1, David Baily vs Rick Johnson. After watching them back-to-back, he may be right, we saw a great race in his favorite place, Dodgers Stadium.
