Top Shelf Customs WCC Tribute Bike

Say what you will, the West Coast Choppers CFL
is a great platform for a modern chopper. I got this frame back
when they had them on sale for a G. This was one of our rare opportunities
to build without customer input. Everyone tried to talk me out of painting it gray. I still dig it the way it is though.

Ruby's 2005 Sportster 1200 Custom

She wanted some style so, this is what we gave her. Got rid of the 16 and 21" wire spokes and gave her the 16 and 19" mag combo. Black powder coated the forks, triple trees, bars, fork brace, rocker boxes and rear fender struts and blinkers. Added an Arlen Ness faring and Harley Davidson front fender, painted to match and a set of black HD mirroes. We also went with a Performance Machine air cleaner, grips and brake disc. A new set of black Progresive Suspenssion rear shocks and some new shoes, Metzler ME 880s.
Did I forget to mention that Ruby had no idea we were doing any of this? Yeah, she just dropped it off for an oil change and filter. Her sugar daddy, Rod called after she brought it in and told us, she's sick of riding a stock bike and asked us to get it dialed in for her. She was stoked, what do you think?

Finding the tipping point

I was once told, the trick to riding a wheelie is finding the balancing point. This was my first go-round on a 500+ pound Harley though . I've seen a lot of other people do it so, how hard could it be? Well, turns out it's actually pretty tricky, compared to the dirt bike anyway. The thing's real heavy and the power-to-weight ratio is so outa wack. You have to ring it's neck right before you let the clutch go just to get the wheel off the ground. And you really have to kill it in order to really get it to stand up to the tipping point. Well, I found it, after about an hour and who know how many attempts. It was gnarly though!

Houston Supercross Lites Race Report

2010 East coast Supercross Lites Champion Christophe Pourcel.
Thats two in a row for Pourcel. Look for him in the 450 class next year.

On the podium in Houston
1.Pourcel
2.Bagget
3.Barcia

Bret Metcalfe was on his way to the podium but a small mistake put
him back to 4th. His day is coming.

The first lap of any race is gnarly but the first lap of
an AMA Supercross Lites race can be
reeeally gnarly, these kid are hungry!
